Three Lies that Keep You Busy in Your Faith

December 7, 2018 //  by Heather

three lies that keep you busy

Does your faith often feel more like a to-do list than a place of respite? Do service projects, devotionals, Bible study, committees, Sunday school service, and discipleship sometimes feel like a full-time, very thankless job?

At the root of our overwhelming faith are choices. We make thousands of tiny decisions to say yes instead of no, to take on more responsibility, training, spiritual practices, and service. That drains the life out of our communion with Christ. And more often than not, we do this because of three lies we tell ourselves about our faith.

Learn what those lies whisper to us, and you’re halfway towards being able to choose faith practices and commitments that nurture you instead of driving you batty.

I was on FB Live the other day chatting about those lies–and what it looks like when we choose the easy yoke that Jesus’ promises. Check out the video below.
